A Quick Look At How AmSpa Started
Organized by the American Med Spa Association (AmSpa) and founded by Alex R. Thiersch, JD, a healthcare attorney who recognized the need for an organization dedicated to addressing the legal and compliance challenges of the growing medical spa and aesthetics industry, this event is a must-attend for industry professionals year after year. And power be to him because yes, we did need this type of event in our lives!
While AmSpa started with a focus on legal and compliance support, it has since grown into a leading force in the medical spa industry. Along with its popular business events, AmSpa now offers hands-on clinical training and continues to introduce new resources to support the aesthetics community. As a for-profit LLC (i.e. a Limited Liability Company), AmSpa is passionate about its mission, helping medical spa owners, entrepreneurs, and physicians run their businesses legally and successfully.
Fast forward to 2023, AmSpa launched the Advanced Practice Management Symposium events to help thriving practices take the next step. Through small-group sessions with industry experts, members can now also gain exclusive insights and perks they won’t find anywhere else. Exciting, right? Very exciting!
Hold onto hats (infomercial voice incoming) because AmSpa also launched the first Women in Aesthetics Leadership Conference, bringing together the industry’s most brilliant and innovative women to connect, share stories, and feel re-energized. And this year marks the debut of the Multi-State Executive Legal Guide too! This is a formidable resource that helps both members and non-members navigate legal compliance and enforcement across the country.
Saying that AmSpa has gone from strength to strength sounds about right, wouldn’t you agree?
