Revolax Revamped Review: A Fresh Look

Revolax Revamped! Are you ready for an incredibly exciting update? Of course you are! So hold onto your hat and your chair because as of the 4th of April 2024, ACROSS Co., Ltd. (the manufacturer of Revolax), in collaboration with Fox Group (the exclusive distributor of Revolax in the United Kingdom and Ireland), debuted a new packaging design for their extremely popular and beloved Revolax products in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In case you are new to the world of Revolax, you are in for a REAL treat! Fox Group has held exclusive distribution rights for Revolax in the United Kingdom and Ireland since 2017.

The decision to introduce the new packaging for Revolax follows an increase in counterfeit imported products (a true testament to how amazing these products are, because why counterfeit something people do not want to buy)?

But the struggle is real, and Fox Group believes that the new packaging will make it easier for practitioners, dermatologists, and aestheticians, such as yourself, to distinguish genuine and authentic Revolax products, which is amazing beyond belief.

    Let’s discuss.

    What Is Revolax?

Revolax is an innovative dermal filler made with high-purity hyaluronic acid. It is classified as a medical grade III dermal filler, meaning it meets strict safety standards. Supported by clinical research and innovative cross-linking technology, Revolax ensures top-notch safety.

Revolax is your real-life SnapChat filter, enhancing facial features by adding volume. With three different formulas to pick from, Revolax provides a wide range of treatment options. Whether you want to plump, sculpt, or smooth, there is a Revolax solution.

Counterfeit Products & Problems In The World Of Aesthetics

Interestingly enough, the dictionary definition for counterfeit is: “made in exact imitation of something valuable with the intention to deceive or defraud”, emphasising something valuable, which Revolax obviously is.

But Revolax is not the only product to have fallen victim to imitation counterfeit aesthetic products that have become a pandemic, putting your patient’s lives at risk. All the more reason WHY quickly identifying products is so incredibly important.

The sad reality is that the global counterfeit market is booming! From handbags to makeup, clothing to medicines, counterfeiting has evolved into a highly sophisticated industry, often producing replicas virtually indistinguishable from genuine articles.

Counterfeiting medicines, in particular, has emerged as a global phenomenon, posing a significant threat to public health worldwide. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), as much as 10% of the world’s pharmaceuticals are now counterfeit.

Counterfeit medicines are not merely replicas, but they present a grave risk, capable of causing loss of life and injury to unsuspecting victims. The WHO estimates that approximately 500,000 people die annually due to the use of counterfeit drugs.

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has been vigilant in combating counterfeit medicines in the United Kingdom. In 2013 alone, the MHRA seized £12.2 million worth of counterfeit and unlicensed medicines in the UK, contributing to a global seizure tally of over £26.8 million during a week-long counterfeit medicines campaign.

Recognising the severity of the issue, the MHRA has initiated multiple campaigns, such as Operation Pangea, aimed at dismantling the sophisticated criminal networks behind this intricate pharmaceutical fraud.

So yes, it is a real thing, a real issue, and a real worry. Let’s continue down the rabbit warren … the World Health Organisation categorises counterfeit medicines into six main groups:

    • Products without active ingredients (32%).
    • Products with incorrect quantities of active ingredients (20%).
    • Products with wrong ingredients (21%).
    • Products with authentic active ingredients but fake packaging (15.6%).
    • Copies of an original product (1%).
    • Products with high levels of impurities and contaminants (8%).

Why Do People Buy Counterfeit Products?

Other than not knowing, those who take risks with counterfeit medicines do so for various reasons. As revealed in surveys conducted among individuals who purchased such products, their reasons include:

    • Easy online access, as the convenience of purchasing medicines online, makes it tempting for individuals to seek them out through unauthorised channels.
    • Misconception of equivalence, as many buyers mistakenly believe that counterfeit medicines are identical to genuine products regarding efficacy and safety.
    • Due to the inability to afford genuine medications, financial constraints lead some individuals to opt for cheaper counterfeit alternatives.
    • There is a desire for autonomy in medicine procurement, as certain individuals prefer to take control of their medication supply rather than rely on healthcare providers or pharmacies.

    Food for thought.

    Revolax’s New Design

The revamped Revolax box features a distinctive addition: a sleek black band gracing the bottom, adorned with a holographic logo reading “Fox Group Exclusive UK & IE Licence Holders”.

This inclusion ensures that practitioners can confidently discern the authenticity of their purchase, offering peace of mind. Each purchase of the new box guarantees a safe and genuine product, easily identifiable and fully traceable back to the manufacturer.

It is important to note that the new Revolax box will be available exclusively through authorised licence holders, Fox Group, and the official sub-distributor, Wigmore Medical. Any entities selling the previous version of the Revolax boxes are peddling counterfeit products, which may not be covered by your aesthetics insurance.

Revolax Revamped: The More You Know

On that note, please remember that the new Revolax box was introduced to the public on the 4th of April 2024 by the official distributors, Fox Group and official sub-distributors. Practitioners, dermatologists, and aestheticians should be able to buy Revolax with the old box from 4th April 2024.

In brief, the new Revolax packaging enhances safety for practitioners and patients alike. With counterfeit products posing significant risks, obtaining Revolax from authorised distributors like Fox Group and Wigmore Medical is essential. Let’s prioritise patient safety and authenticity in aesthetics.
